Each snow chain set consists of an outer and inner ring with interlinked chains in a diamond pattern. The outer ring supports a securing chain with a tensioning hook and spring. Fitting method as below.
1. Lay out chains behind wheel with tensioning hook outer most.
2. Reverse vehicle back so that the wheel is centrally over the chains
3. Connect up the inside chain ring.
4. Inside chain ring connected
5. Join the main outside chain ring
6. Centralise chain on tyre
7. Insert securing chain through linking rings and pull taut. Attach tensioning hook to the furthermost link possible
8. Re-centralise chain on tyre
9. Pull the chain back away from the tensioning hook
10. Loop the spring end round connecting at several points
11. Pull the spring taut and hook through a link
12. Move vehicle forward and re-tension chain on both driving wheels before moving of
