How to Choose the Right Wheel Trims for Your Truck or Bus
Why Wheel Trims Matter
At Parma Group, we’re proud to stock one of the UK’s largest collections of wheel trims - and it's clear our customers share our passion for vehicle styling. Whether you're running a single vehicle or managing an entire fleet, first impressions count. Wheel trims are one of the simplest ways to elevate your vehicle’s look and stand out on the road. As the roads get busier and competition grows, small details like wheel trims can make a big impact - adding polish, professionalism, and personality to your trucks, buses, trailers or vans.
Getting the Right Fit
Fitment is everything when it comes to wheel trims. If the trim doesn’t match your wheel, it simply won’t fit. Here’s what to check:
• Wheel size - You’ll find this on your tyre, typically after the letter "R" (e.g. R22.5). We stock trims in sizes from 15” to 22.5”, covering trucks, trailers, buses, motorhomes and vans.
• Stud pattern - For wheel nut rings, count the number of wheel studs. We stock 6-stud, 8-stud and 10-stud options.
• Vehicle-specific options - We offer made-to-fit trims for popular vans like the Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter and Iveco Daily. These ensure accurate fitment and are the best choice if your vehicle is listed.
• PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) - Some trims require this measurement. It’s the distance between the centre of one wheel nut and the opposite one. You can use our handy PCD calculator to check.
• Alloy wheels - Not all trims are suitable for alloy wheels due to the larger nuts. We’ve made this easier with a dedicated ‘Alloy Wheels’ section under Wheel Trims in our navigation menu.
Style Options Explained
Style is entirely up to you - and we’ve got something for everyone.
• Vinci style - Extra ventilation holes that show the wheel nuts.
• Scandinavian style - Covers the nuts entirely for a smooth, uniform finish.
• Deluxe style - Features imitation wheel nuts for a bolder look.
• Super Deluxe - Our deepest trim style, offering a chunky, modern profile. All of our wheel trims and nut rings are made from marine-grade stainless steel to resist rust, flaking, and deterioration. Vinci trims feature a durable plastic centre for a lighter-weight option. Looking for something more subtle?
Wheel liners and trim rings offer a clean, professional finish while keeping the wheel fully visible. You can combine these with nut rings or use them alone - we even stock full kits to make the process easier. For nut rings alone, we offer 6-stud, 8-stud and 10-stud styles in:
• Open
• Closed
• Coloured (still stainless steel, just overpainted to match your brand)
Whether you’re after a sleek chrome finish or a pop of colour to match your fleet, there’s a style to suit every taste.
Safety and Installation Tips
We make fitting trims simple, but secure.
• Most wheel trims come with an expanding metal ring and security screws. These attach behind the trim to keep it tightly in place - and help deter theft.
• Vinci trims use a clamp system that secures directly to the rim with an Allen key.
• Axle liners are even easier - just remove four wheel nuts, place the liner over the remaining six, and refit the nuts.
• Nut rings require minimal effort. Simply remove two opposing wheel nuts, place the ring on, and re-torque the nuts.
Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, wheel styling is all about personal preference. We aim to offer something for everyone.
